Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Tauq AI. By creating an account, joining a workspace or using the service in any other way, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind that company.

What the service does

Tauq AI lets you build AI assistants that answer from content you supply, publish them as chats your visitors can use, and collect the contacts those conversations produce.

We may change, add or remove features. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan provides, we will tell you before it takes effect.

Accounts and workspaces

You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your credentials to yourself and telling us promptly if you think they have been exposed.

Work in Tauq AI is organised into workspaces. Whoever owns a workspace controls who may join it and what those members may do, and is responsible for that workspace's content and billing. Members act within the permissions the owner grants them.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and your details must be accurate.

Acceptable use

Do not use Tauq AI to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to publish content that is unlawful, deceptive or harmful.

Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, to other workspaces, or to any system connected to it, and do not interfere with its normal operation.

Do not represent an assistant's output as coming from a person when it does not, in a context where that would mislead someone.

Your content

The content you upload to a knowledge base, and the conversations your chats produce, remain yours. You grant us the licence needed to host, process and transmit that content so the service can work — including sending it to the AI providers that generate answers.

You are responsible for having the right to use the content you upload, and for not uploading personal data you have no lawful basis to process.

AI-generated answers

Assistants generate answers from the content you supply, using third-party language models. Those answers can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and they are not professional advice of any kind.

You decide where an assistant is published and what it is allowed to answer, and you are responsible for what it tells your visitors. Review its answers before relying on them for anything consequential.

Plans and payment

Paid plans are billed in advance for the period you choose and renew automatically until cancelled. Usage allowances reset each billing period and unused allowance does not carry over unless the plan says so.

You may cancel at any time; the plan then runs to the end of the period already paid for. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments already made are not refunded.

We may change prices. A change applies to your workspace from its next renewal, and we will tell you before that renewal.

Availability

We work to keep Tauq AI running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Maintenance, third-party outages and failures of the AI providers we depend on can all interrupt it.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that puts the service or other customers at risk, or where we are required to by law. Where circumstances allow, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put things right.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Tauq AI is provided as it is, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data beyond what we hold under our own retention practices.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will give notice through the service or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Tauq AI after that means you accept the updated terms.
